Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pathology Lab Technician to join our team at Indorewala ENT Hospital. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with a strong background in medical laboratory technology. This role requires proficiency in laboratory techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Position: Pathology Lab Technician

Education:

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT)
• Experience: 2 to 3 Years

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform various diagnostic tests and procedures in the pathology laboratory.
• Prepare and analyse specimens, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
• Record and report test results accurately and promptly to the relevant healthcare professionals.
• Follow strict protocols for specimen handling and processing to ensure quality control.
• Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to provide accurate diagnostic information.
• Maintain and update patient records and laboratory documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and trainees as needed.
• Stay current with advancements in laboratory technology and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Tech-savvy with experience in using laboratory information systems and other relevant software.
• Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Solid clinical knowledge and hands-on experience in medical laboratory procedures.
