Hearing Aid Consultant

Education Qualification:
- Diploma in Hearing Aid Technology
- Bachelor’s Degree in Audiology or Speech-Language Pathology
- Licensing/Certification: Hearing Aid Consultant certification or license as required by local laws and regulations.
- Experience Required: 5 to 6 Years (Hospital experience is a must)
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment:
- Evaluate and assess hearing impairments in patients using clinical tests and diagnostic tools.
- Recommend appropriate hearing aid solutions based on individual patient needs and preferences.
- Hearing Aid Selection & Fitting:
- Assist patients in selecting the right hearing aids from a range of devices.
- Fit and program hearing aids, ensuring optimal performance for each patient.
- Patient Counselling & Education:
- Educate patients and their families about hearing aid use, care, and maintenance.
- Provide guidance on managing hearing loss and using assistive listening devices.
- Hearing Aid Repairs & Maintenance:
- Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of hearing aids.
- Collaborate with manufacturers or suppliers for more complex repairs and replacements.
- Follow-up Services:
- Conduct follow-up appointments to ensure patient satisfaction and resolve any issues.
- Adjust hearing aids as needed for optimal comfort and functionality.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate patient records, including diagnostic results, hearing aid fittings, and follow-up notes.
- Prepare reports for physicians and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with audiologists, ENT specialists, and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on the latest technology and advancements in hearing aids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Languages: Proficient in English, Hindi, and Marathi (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Technical Proficiency: Tech-savvy with the ability to use hearing aid programming software and diagnostic tools.
- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple patients and tasks efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Clinical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of hearing loss, hearing aid technology, and clinical practices related to hearing care.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position based at Indorewala ENT Hospital, Viholi, Nashik.
