Clinical Counsellor

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological and emotional support to patients and their families through counselling sessions.
- Assess patients’ mental health conditions and offer appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to integrate psychological care into treatment plans.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients’ conditions and needs.
- Conduct therapy sessions for patients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health challenges.
- Guide patients through coping mechanisms and mental health techniques.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patients’ progress and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on psychological health and emotional well-being.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
- Stay updated with the latest clinical practices and techniques in counselling.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counselling, or Social Work (required)
- Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health Counselling (preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 4 years of hospital experience is mandatory.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Marathi (both written and verbal communication).
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in psychological assessments and interventions.
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to use hospital management systems and other relevant software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage patients and collaborate with medical staff.
- Strong multitasking abilities, handling various cases and administrative tasks simultaneously.
