Role Overview:

The Bio-Medical Engineer Incharge will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment at Indorewala ENT Hospital. This role involves managing a team of biomedical engineers, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and optimizing equipment functionality to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the biomedical engineering team, including training and mentoring staff.
  • Manage the installation, calibration, and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment meets safety and performance standards, and perform routine inspections.
  • Oversee repairs and troubleshooting of malfunctioning equipment, coordinating with external service providers if needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment service histories, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and integration of biomedical equipment.
  • Stay updated with advancements in biomedical technology and recommend upgrades or new equipment as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and patient care standards.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment, and prepare reports on equipment status and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Experience: 4 to 5 years of hospital experience in biomedical engineering.
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Bio-Medical Engineering, Biomedical Technology, or a related field.
  • Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Bio-Medical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Marathi (write, read, and speak).
  • Strong technical knowledge of biomedical equipment and systems.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Tech-savvy with a good understanding of the latest biomedical technologies.
  • Good communication skills, knowledge of local routes, and understanding of patient care and privacy regulations.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and ability to manage and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Soft Skills:

  • Effective communication skills for interacting with staff and vendors.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
