Ear & Sinus Surgery Workshop 2025

“When a tradition continues uninterrupted for 25 years, it becomes more than an event — it becomes a legacy”

This August 2025, Indorewala ENT Hospital, Institute & Research Centre, Nashik, in collaboration with SMBT Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, proudly hosted the Silver Jubilee Edition of the Ear & Sinus Surgery Workshop (20th – 25th August 2025). For a quarter of a century, this workshop has been a beacon of surgical learning, attracting ENT specialists from across India and overseas, united by a single goal: to refine skills, share knowledge, and push the boundaries of surgical excellence.

What Made the 2025 Edition Special?

This milestone year brought together over 100 delegates for six immersive days of training, discussions, and innovation. But what truly set it apart?

Intensive Hands-On Training
Delegates immersed themselves in practical sessions covering Ear Surgeries, Endoscopic Sinus Surgeries, and Skull Base Surgeries. Each procedure was demonstrated and then practiced, ensuring participants could directly apply their learning.

Cadaveric Mastery
To maximize skill development, every participant was allotted an individual cadaveric specimen. This unique approach offered unmatched exposure, allowing surgeons to practice repeatedly with precision and confidence.

Progressive Learning Design
The workshop was structured to build skills step by step — starting with foundational techniques before progressing to advanced and complex procedures. This ensured that participants at all levels benefited equally.

Personalized Mentorship
What made the experience even more impactful was the close one-on-one guidance from senior ENT surgeons. Delegates received personal feedback, corrections, and encouragement, making the training highly interactive and supportive.

Interactive Discussions
Learning extended beyond the dissection tables, with lively Q&A sessions, case-based discussions, and debates on evolving surgical practices. These exchanges of ideas created a rich environment of global collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

The Six-Day Journey

Every delegate receives their own cadaveric specimen — a rare opportunity to maximize hands-on learning. From ear surgeries to endoscopic sinus and skull base procedures, participants have step-by-step exposure, moving from the basics all the way to advanced techniques. And throughout, there is close supervision and one-on-one mentoring by leading ENT surgeons.

The flow of the workshop was structured to build confidence and skills gradually.
On the first and second day, we conducted the advanced temporal bone and endoscopic sinus dissections.
The third and fourth days were all about live surgical demonstrations — septoplasty, ESS, mastoid surgery, and other ENT surgeries.
And finally, on the fifth and sixth day, participants engaged in basic temporal bone observation and dissection.
