Job Summary:

The Computer Data Operator will be responsible for managing, entering, and processing clinical and administrative data within the hospital’s system. This role requires efficient multitasking, attention to detail, and proficiency in various software applications. The candidate must also collaborate with clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure smooth operations, data accuracy, and confidentiality.

Department: Information Technology (IT)

Reporting to: IT Department Head

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input and manage patient data, billing information, and hospital records using hospital management systems.
  • Maintain and update patient files, medical records, and other hospital-related documentation in digital format.
  • Ensure timely data entry of OPD and IPD patient information, reports, and other critical data.
  • Generate reports and summaries as required by the hospital management and medical staff.
  • Assist in managing data flow between departments, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic IT-related issues related to data entry systems.
  • Support hospital staff in using computer systems, software applications, and data management tools.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure correct and timely data entry in medical records.
  • Maintain backups of data files and ensure proper data storage and security protocols.
  • Perform other related administrative tasks as assigned by the IT department.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Education:
    • Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA) or Certificate in Computer Operations.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience working as a Computer Data Operator, with hospital experience being mandatory.

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in English, Hindi, and Marathi (writing, reading, and speaking).
  • Tech-savvy with a good understanding of data management and hospital management software.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospital environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with various departments.
  • Basic clinical knowledge to manage medical records efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy in data handling.
