Job Summary:
The Nursing Incharge will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital policies and NABH standards. The role involves managing day-to-day operations, maintaining clinical standards, and ensuring compliance with safety and healthcare protocols.
Experience: Minimum 8 to 9 Years
Education: GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery)
Reporting to: Nursing Superintendent/Medical Director
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage nursing staff to ensure efficient delivery of patient care.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and leave management for nursing teams.
- Ensure adherence to NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals) standards, including audit preparation and compliance.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., OT, IPD, OPD) to facilitate seamless patient care.
- Provide clinical guidance to nursing staff and support in handling critical cases.
- Monitor and manage inventory of medical supplies, drugs, and equipment in nursing units.
- Conduct regular training and development programs for nursing staff on updated clinical procedures and NABH standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of patient care, staff performance, and operational protocols.
- Ensure timely documentation for quality control, patient safety, and infection control.
- Address patient grievances and work towards the improvement of patient satisfaction.
- Participate in hospital committee meetings and contribute to policy-making decisions regarding nursing care and patient management.
- Ensure smooth coordination during audits, especially with NABH auditors, and maintain audit-related documentation.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 to 9 years of nursing experience.
- Proven experience in managing or leading a nursing team.
- In-depth knowledge of NABH audits and compliance.
- GNM qualification is a must; additional certifications in healthcare management or nursing administration are preferred.
